S300 Replacement Turbo For The 2007.5-2018 6.7L Cummins
If you were forced to replace a major component on your truck due to premature failure would you give the same exact part another chance, or would you want a more reliable solution? Now picture an aftermarket alternative that’s more reliable, more affordable and that also comes with a guaranteed performance gain. Welcome to the permanent fix for Holset VGT failure: a drop-in, stock replacement fixed geometry turbo for the ’07.5-’18 6.7L Cummins.
Direct Replacement, In Every Sense Of The Word
When we say direct drop-in replacement, we mean it. Smeding Diesel's S300-based turbo will install in the exact same location the factory Holset did. There’s no modifying your air intake, installing a different hot-side intercooler pipe or buying a new downpipe to make it work. Not even the factory exhaust manifold has to be changed! Thanks to this turbo’s T4i inlet flange, it will bolt right up to your stock manifold. To simplify installation even further, Smeding Diesel includes an oil feed adapter, oil drain extension, and two coolant plugs with each turbo.
Engineered To Last
Established on the proven S300 platform, this turbo brings tried-and-true fixed geometry functionality to the table. No moving parts to seize up in the turbine side and no electronic actuator to fail. Unlike the 6.7L Cummins’ factory Holset VGT, the S300 is renowned for its ability to handle elevated shaft speeds and boost pressure while also reducing EGT and drive pressure. This makes it a mild performance upgrade in addition to being considerably more durable. For added insurance, Smeding Diesel does offer a 360-degree, heavy-duty steel thrust bearing upgrade for higher horsepower applications.
Multiple Options And 600hp Potential
Compressor wheel options vary from a cast 62mm to a billet 66mm, and the product line supports everything from the stock horsepower level up to 600 hp. For stock to mildly-tuned trucks, the standard S362 is good for up to 450 hp. The billet 63mm SXE version can support up to 500 hp and the billet 64.5mm SXE wheel is best suited for trucks in the 400 to 550 hp range. Smeding Diesel's billet 66mm SXE turbo, as well as the cast 66mm option, can support between 450 to 600 hp. As with all Smeding Diesel's stock replacement turbochargers, either compressor option makes for a solid choice for towing, daily driving, or even playing at the drag strip.
On-Point Pricing
Need further convincing that Smeding Diesel's S300 replacement turbo is the right way to go? Starting at $1,285 for either the cast 62mm or cast 66mm versions, this turbo is roughly half the price of a new Holset VGT, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to add both reliability and performance to your ’07.5-’18 Ram. For optimum flow and bulletproof durability, you can add one of the billet compressor wheels and the 360-degree thrust bearing upgrade. Billet compressor wheel options add $200 and the 360-degree thrust bearing assembly adds $175.
